Introduction and Purpose


*Glory or Death Events holds the rights to change the rules with no prior notice.

The GDL Rules

  1. Teams

    1. Teams can have up to 3 active players on their roster.
      1. You must declare your starting roster when you register.
    2. Players can drop out of a team at any time by messaging one of the admins.
      1. Each player can join a new team twice per season.
        1. You cannot rejoin a team you have left during the current season.
    3. Each team can add a player to their roster once per season.
      1. You must contact an Admin to add a player to your roster.
    4. You can kick a member of your team by contacting an admin with a valid reason of why you are kicking that player.
      1. You will need the approval of an admin for a player to be kicked.
    5. You will be unable to change your roster after Week 5.


  2. Registration to the league

    1. Teams can only register to the league when registrations are open.
      1. Team registration will close on the 9th of February at 17:00 UTC.
      2. An announcement will be made when registrations open and close.
    2. Requirement to sign up to the league:
      1. Each player of your team must have a total K/D of 1.3 or higher on Solo TPP.
      2. Each player must have played a minimum of 50 matches on Solo TPP.
      3. There is no region lock for the league, however all games will be played on the NA servers.
    3. Each team name must be unique
      1. If multiple teams sign up with the same name, only the first team to register will be approved
    4. Each team must be approved by an Admin before they can participate in the league.
      1. You will be notified once your team has been approved.
        1. Approval may take up to 48 hours.
    5. If any player has been caught cheating, your team will be notified that the player will be unable to be a part of the league.
      1. Teammates may also face removal if they are proven complicit or aware of a teammate's cheating.

    7. If your team has a team logo, please send the image to an admin in the Glory or Death Discord.
      1. We will only accept image sizes of 165 x 115 or lower.
      2. Each image will require an Admins approval.


  3. Weekly Signup

    1. Each team must manually sign up for each weekly event.
      1. Teams must have a minimum of 2 players on their roster to sign up for an event.
    2. You can sign up for each event from our Discord.
      1. How to sign up:
        1. Head over to #signup in the 'The GDL' sub-category on our Discord Server.
        2. You will find all the information about signing up there.
    3. Each lobby will have 49 slots open to teams.
      1. We will take the first 49 teams to sign up.
      2. Signing up after all 49 slots are taken will place your team on a priority list.
        1. Your team will be contacted if a slot opens up.
    4. Signups for each week will close on Saturday at 17:00 UTC.
      1. Any team that attempts to sign up after the time limit will not be able to play for that event.
    5. Once your team has signed up for an event, you are locked for that event and are agreeing to be available for all times in which has been set prior to the event.
      1. Signing up and not being able to play may result in punitive action.
    6. Your team roster for that week is locked with the first two players from the team that joins the first lobby.
      1. Example: Player A and B joins the first lobby; Player C will be unable to play during that week’s event.


  4. Weekly Events

    1. The first 3 weekly events of the league are open to all.
      1. Week 4, 5 and 6 will be locked and only teams that have already registered to the league may participate.
    2. Each event will usually take around 2 hours and 30 minutes, however some events may take longer.
    3. Teams are not required to play every week, however they will miss out on earning points for that week.


  5. Custom Lobby and Game

    1. Each event will be 3 games.
    2. Games will be played in a custom lobby with the following settings (These will change with updates to the game):
      1. Map: (See League Structure)
      2. Region: NA
      3. Mode: Normal Mode
      4. Preset: Default Settings
      5. Perspective: TPP
      6. Players: (Number of participants)
      7. Team Members: 2
      8. Weather: Sunny
      9. Lock: Private (Lobby password will be given 15 minutes before the tournament start time)
    3. Teams can only play with a full team, if a player must leave, their team will have to forfeit the remaining games.

    4. The Lobby start time will be announced on our Discord Server.
      1. An announcement will be made for each lobby.
    5. If a team does not make it into the lobby, they will have to wait for the next lobby before they can join back in.
      1. Teams can join a lobby if the lobby is restarted.


  6. Restarts and Crashes

    1. A restart may only occur if one or more of these scenarios happen:
      1. 30% or more players crash/disconnect before the first circle closes.
      2. 30% or more players are unable to jump from the plane.
      3. Game Settings are wrong.
      4. Custom game crashes.
    2. Everyone will be notified via our Discord Server when a restart is required.
    3. Glitches will be reviewed at the time of occurrence.
    4. Having a spectator crash will not warrant a restart.


  7. Broadcast

    1. The official broadcast of GDL will be on our official twitch channel.
      1. There will be an inconstant delay on all games each week.
        1. This is to prevent stream sniping from the official broadcast.
    2. And player can stream their team's perspective during the league.
      1. We strongly recommend having a delay of three minutes or more.
        1. Streaming without a delay will make your team ineligible to report players for potentially stream sniping.
    3. Streaming the event gives us the right to use your live and recording footage of the tournament.

  8. General

    1. Every player must be a member of the official Glory or Death Discord Server.
      1. Failure to have a player in the discord may result in your team being unable to play until every member is in the discord.
        1. This is to make sure we have direct communication with all the players in the league.
      2. Teams may use our Discord Server or any other preferred VOIP for communication during games.
    2. These rules will work in conjunction with The official Glory or Death rules
    3. Any player caught cheating will recieve an instant ban from all Glory or Death events until further notice.
    4. If a player changes their Xbox Gamertag during the season, you must contact a league official immediately.
      1. Failure to do so may result in that player being unable to play during that week's full event.
    5. The Prize Pool could change during the season.
      1. The Prize Pool can be added to during the season.

    Point System

    Eliminations:
  • Each elimination: +2 Points
  • Accumulated kills by your team
  • 5 Accumulated kills by your team will give you +5 points
  • 10 Accumulated kills by your team will give you +5 points
  • 15 Accumulated kills by your team will give you +5 points
  • These points will stack, so having 10 kills will give your team 10 points.

  • 1st: 30 Points
  • 2nd: 25 Points
  • 3rd: 20 Points
  • 4th: 18 Points
  • 5th: 16 Points
  • 6th: 14 Points
  • 7th: 12 Points
  • 8th: 10 Points
  • 9th: 8 Points
  • 10th: 6 Points
  • 11-15th: 4 Points
  • 16-20th: 2 Points

League Structure

    Season One
  • Each week will consist of three rounds, with a different map rotation every week. Players will fight their way to the top of the leaderboard, earning points based on their kills and place in each round.
